I don't know if any of you know alot about the waitressing world? We are a special breed.... We become our own special crazy disfunctional family... And like any family we have each others backs no matter what... except when it comes to money... we don't like to share money... and in our world this means tables because tables equal tips and since we make less than minimum wage here in Alberta (Thank you the gov't for that special treat!) we all live off our tips. I needed to make some extra money this past week and my boss was kind enough to give me the extra hours and my co-workers were kind enough not to kill me for coming in and taking thier tables! LOL Maybe that makes sense to you maybe you have to be one of us to understand... But I felt like they all needed a big Thank You for helping me out!
Which leads me to my Design Team post for this week... Thank you boxes containing Ultimate Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies. And that's another waitress thing... I have yet to meet one without a sweet tooth!!
Without further ado:

Don't those look like little peices of heaven?? Well, they are honestly!!

The green boxes are for all the staff I "stole" tables from by going into work when it wasn't my night to work ;)

And this one is special just for my boss... She always has my back and deserves something pretty and sweet!! That woman is in her 60's and works 14hr days, 7 days a week! She's nuts!!

And those are her treats in her treat box...

Martha Stewart Glass Frosting

This are 2 gifts I created the last few days... One is for my FIL for Fathers Day. The other is for my brother for his birthday and my dear god it was alot of work to find the svg's and do a ton of slicing and welding to get all his favorite teams on one mug!!!!

Glass frosting is very simple... Apply your stencil, apply your frosting with a sponge and dabbing technique. Place in a cool oven and turn on to 350. When it reaches 350 set your timer for 30min. When the timer goes off turn the oven off but leave your items in the over until perfectly cool. This will cure the frosting to your glass. And viola!!

Catch ya later!!!

Bridal Shower

My husbands second cousin, I guess he would be, and I have become very close. He's one of my people. If you watch Greys Anantomy you will understand... LOL He is getting married this summer. I want all the best things for him and his family!!
My MIL is flying out there next week for a fmaily function so I thought I would take advantage of the opportunity and send his fiancee a shower gift out.
This is what I came up with...

I decided the images in Design Space using the CMTH Artbooking cartridge. I did some slicing and modification as you can see. I used vinyl to create a stencil and then used Martha Stewart Glass frosting to put the images on the glass!! I love the way they all turned out!!! Little one is for thier 1.5yr old son! It was a last minute brilliant idea!!

And this is her card:

The image is called "New Beginnings" by Aurora Wings and I love all the beautiful things it symbolizes for the bride!! Everything else is just random things that were hanging around the scrapbooking room. The lanterns were cut from the "Something to Celebrate" cartridge.

Hope you liked it!!

OH, And I'm entering her in the Aurora Wings Challenge as well!!

For my creations this week I made a mini tackle box gift box for my husband. Sadly I only bought 1 piece of each of the papers I wanted to use to it turned out much smaller than anticipated and I was unable to create the tray I had wanted to put inside. There just isn't room as it is only 4.5" long and 2.75" tall. But all the same I am very pleased with the way it turned out and I hope he will be too. I plan on purchasing him some lures and flies since his new interest is fly fishing... And I will get him a gift card for his fav shop to put in the little gift card sleeve I made to go with it all.

Materials used:
CTHM Art Philosophy and Artfully sent cartridges
Life's a beach cartridge
Cricut Alphabet
Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2

Happy 80- something birthday!

My husbands Grandmas birthday is this month. I wanted to make her something sweet and simple. She is in and out of the hospital right now for various reasons so I didn't want to make her something so elaborate that who ever may be moving her at any given time would be afraid to wreck it lol but something that would make her sweet old soul smile and know we were thinking of her. This is what I came up with:
I am entering her in 2 challenges:

Materials used:
Aurora Wings- Linnea Sprite- colored with copics
Random paper
Flower embossing folder
CTMH Pixie Ink
